As you may (or may not) know, I am a former Disney World Cast Member. It was a truly pivotal time in my life.
Some of my best memories, and some of my worst, are from my years there. And still to this day, some of my very best friends are people I met while working for the Mouse!
Through a series of events and thought processes, I found myself trolling youtube for videos of the places I used to work. When nostalgia hits, it hits hard and fast.
Take a walk down memory land with me 🙂
The place I spent the vast majority of my time (ten hour days, six days a week, anyone??) was the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
It’s really nice to still see some familiar faces!
When I wasn’t working there, I would be scheduled for a rotation between the ABC Sound Studio (featuring the Drew Carey Sounds Dangerous! show), which for obvious reasons, I can not offer a video for (it was a 3D sound show that took place in total darkness), and the ABC TV Theater, featuring Disney’s Doug! Live.
God bless whoever took the time to upload this from a VHS
On really unfortunate days, I would be assigned to work the Mulan Parade
Last but not least, there were several times I was scheduled to work Fantasmic! (LOVE the show…HATED working the show. 5000 seat theater. Plus hundreds of standing room. Wrap your mind around that for a second)
I can’t even remember all the special events I got to work- motorcades, Hats and Horns for New Year’s Eve, concerts, competitions…the memories are never-ending!
Thanks for taking the time to walk down memory lane with me!!
Do you have any moments in your life that you took for granted, and now looking back think, wow. I can’t believe I was a part of that!?
Life is funny that way…
