Summer Lovin’- Doing New Things In Florida!

It’s the eve of our much-needed vacation, and I am soooo ready!!  I’d say this family is definitely in need of a change of place, and a change of pace…

Of course we’re doing some of our usual stuff, because part of going to Florida is getting to engage in the stuff we love so much!

But we’re also taking time to do some things we don’t normally do- going to Cocoa Beach, playing mini-golf, the munchkins even want to take the time to actually GO INTO the countries at EPCOT, which fascinates me to no end because when I was a kid, EPCOT was soooooo boring!  I guess that’s part of what makes my nieces so cool 🙂  Super excited about going to Margaritaville and Sonny’s!

We’re also taking time to go to Universal Orlando while we’re there this time.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I have never read any of the Harry Potter books.  Or seen any of the movies.  And really have no interest in doing so…Maybe someday, but so far– no.

(please don’t unfollow me! I’m still a good person!)

However, I CAN tell you that I’m super excited to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter part of Universal!  It looks really cool, even though I have no point of reference, and feel fairly confident I’ll be made fun of a lot for not understanding the simplest references…

I’ve been to Universal a few times, but it’s been years, and Harry Potter didn’t exist the last time I was there! It’s going to be so bizarre being someplace that I don’t know exactly where I’m going or what I’m doing, so it should be interesting! Yay for adventures!

QOTD: Have you been to Universal Orlando?  What is a must-do in the Harry Potter area?
